December 2009/January 2010 Rural Newsletter
Dear Readers,
This month in our Christmas edition we look at preventing mastitis in dairy cows over the summer months, as well as ryegrass staggers in livestock grazing perennial ryegrass dominant pastures. As summer heats up it is also important to ensure stock have sufficient shade and water to minimise the effects of heat stress. Another common problem this time of year is Queensland Itch or summer eczema in horses, although it may occur all year round in warmer climates. Lastly, we wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
